Hyperprolactinemia: Bromocriptine or parlodel, Cabergoline or dostinex, (cabergoline) are drugs used to treat elevated levels of prolactin. These drugs will normalize irregular periods due to hyperprolactinemia. If your menstruation is irregular, your doctor should measure your prolactin level, along with many other things.

It depends: Not sure exactly what questions is asking, will try my best. - bromocriptine dosage should be titrated upwards (starting at a low dose) until prolactin levels normalizes. Once normalized, menstrual cycles will resume afterwards, but may not necessarily be right away. - once menstrualy cycles are regular, bromocriptine can either be discontinued after ovulation or after positive pregnancy test.
