What are some of the drawbacks of anti-reflective coating on my new glasses?

A few: There are many types of anti-reflective coatings. The cheaper ones can make the glasses hard to keep clean and can flake off after a few years. This doesn't occur with the premium ones. In fact, most premium anti-reflective coatings come wiht a full warranty for one to two years.
