Vitamin supplement.: Ocuvite is a vitamin supplement produced by bausch & lomb for the purpose of reducing the risk of age-related macular degeneration (amd), a type of vision loss. It contains vitamin c, e, a, zinc & copper. It is based on the findings of the 2001 age-related eye diseases study of the national eye institute, which suggested that antioxidants and zinc reduced the risk of amd.

Eye vitamin: The Age-related Eye Disease Study (AREDS) showed that high doses of certain vitamins slowed the progression of vision loss in age-related macular degeneration (ARMD). Ocu-vite is a combination similar to what was used in this study. I recommend eye vitamins for those wish to lower their risk of ARMD, the most common cause of blindness in the elderly.
