Could be: Often vial illnesses which cause diarrhea and vomiting start off as chills and nausea. Take it easy, small amounts of fluid, and wait it out.

No: No, there are different viruses, some will not cause diarrhea or vomiting. Drink more fluids, take vitamin c, take otc meds for nausea like dramamine (dimenhydrinate) or emetrol, but if fever is high, or if no relief in 48 hrs then better see your doctor.
