A member asked:

Could vitamin deficiency be the reason for my burning tongue and not being able to tast anything result from a vitamin deficiency?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: Burning tongue syndrome or glossodynia is one of the more frustrating conditions in my practice. There is no known cause or proven treatment. I usually recommend a multivitamin because there are anecdotal reports of it being caused by a vitamin deficiency but this has never been proven. Controlling acid and a blander type of diet seem to help some. Good luck!
