Phenol Oral : Generally speaking, i you ingest small and/or recommended amounts of phenol oral anesthetic, you should not have a problem unless you are hypersensitive to the analgesic.

Yes don't swallow it: I do not know which oral anesthetic you are talking about, but my immediate reaction is do not swallow anything that is not food.
