Floater removal: Most patients develop floaters at some point in their life. Over time your brain ignores them and they do not block vision. Due to this, there is nothing to do to remove them. In rare cases, floaters can be significant enough to block vision. In these rare cases, the floaters can be removed by a retina specialist by a surgery inside the eye (vitrectomy).

Three options: Three options: live with it, yag laser, and vitrectomy. When living with it has been ruled out, consider the later two. You need an exam to establish that it is the floaters that are the cause of your concern. Remember there are risks with every surgical procedure, but vitrectomy is safe in good hands. Beware cataracts. Be sure to get dilated exam to check for retinal tears too.
