General : Anesthesia doesn't cause numbeness. You were probably injected with local anesthesia as well and that should last a few hours.

Wrong question: If you received a local anesthetic for extraction of wisdom teeth, you will be numb for 1-2 hours afterwards. General anesthesia (going to sleep) is also administered in come cases of wisdom tooth extractions but usually does not cause numbness of any part of the body.
