Do you mean fetus?: Are you asking about meconium in your amniotic fluid? You can't tell until your water breaks. If the baby had stress significant enough to cause meconium, there may have been other signs, such as heart rate changes or decreased fetal growth or movement.

If concerned about: Changes in fetal activity or you just have a " vibe, " see your ob. There are tests (s)he can do to check fetal well-being. Passing meconium would be related to drops in oxygen, possibly from cord compression. Don't worry; do see your OB to check it out. No such thing as a silly question when it comes to your baby's well-being or your maternal instinct.
