Is it normal to have weird dreams in pregnancy?

Yes: We don't have a good reason why, but dreams can be very vivid and strange during pregnancy. Some people speculate that the dreams are a way for your subconscious to deal with fears and insecurities you may have about the pregnancy and motherhood.

Dreams in pregnancy: Absolutely normal to have wild and very vivid dreams during pregnancy. This is particularly true in the 3rd trimester. Some suggest this is a way for your subconscious to deal with and prepare for the fears and insecurities of being a mother. It is thought that part of what brings these vivid dreams is the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy and their effect on the brain sleep center.
