Oral contraceptives: Depo shot does make some pt gain weight , it is better to go back to your doctor to try different forms-there are oral contraceptives subdermal implant as well as patches that use every week. Or ring that can leave in for 3 weeks before remove.

Yes: Some of the low dose combination (both estrogen and progesterone) pills rarely cause weight gain, but there may be a reason why you cannot take them. For example, if you smoke or have a history of blood clots, or are not able to reliably take daily pills, etc, you should not take the "regular" pill. There are also some iud's that might be right for you. Ask your gyn or clinic doctor.

Yes low dose BC pill: A newer one and my #1 pill is loloestrin, only 10 mcg of estrogen- least chance of wt gain, also their is an iud without teh hormones u can usep ara guard so call your gyn.
