Is it common to feel bloated in the beginning of pregnancy?

Yes: The hormones of pregnancy change your bowel function and slow it down. In early pregnancy, most women will develop constipation and increased gas. The uterus also enlarges as the pregnancy progresses, increasing the feeling of fullness and pressure. Trying to prevent constipation by increasing fluids and fiber may help.
