Stimula face muscle: In facial nerve palsy or paralysis there is an asymmetry in the face for the paralysis of the vii cranial nerve peripherally so those muscles don't move and may get atrophied. Therapy stimulates those muscles until the nerve recovers some of its function.

Physical therapy: Physical therapy uses facial neuromuscular retraining to improve the motor control of the facial muscles. A comprehensive review of the literature supports the use of neuromuscular retraining. Electrical stimulation is not supported as effective in the medical literature.
