No: Cramping in pregnancy may not be normal as you may be experiencing contractions. If cramping occurs in the first trimester, this may be due to your growing fetus as it is growing inside of your womb. Cramping in the second trimester may also be due to increases in your growing womb (round ligament pain), or it may mean preterm labor. Sex may increase cramping and place you and your baby at risk.
