I am 20 years old , so can i use acarbose to lose weight ? does it may cause diabetes in the future after using it for long time ?

You can try it : Studies indicate no long term benfit with Acarbose for weight loss. Transiently it will help in blocking the absorption of excess carbohydrates leading to some short term loss of weight through calorie absorption reduction.

No: Acarbose will not significantly help with weight loss and it will not cause diabetes. A study actually showed that Acarbose may help prevent the progression from pre-diabetes to diabetes.
