Safe: Metal objects can interfere with interpretation of bone scan. They absorb the gamma rays or photons that are being imaged by the nuclear medicine camera. Therefore jewelry can not be worn. Coins cannot be in pockets. Unless there is metal in the makeup there is no problem.
