Need to check it out: A woman your age certainly shouldn't be choking when you try to eat! there are several reasons you might, one being that you might have been having reflux for a long time, without knowing it, and you might now have some inflammation or scarring of your lower esophagus. You'll need to see a GI doctor so they can figure out why you're choking and treat it! don't let it go!

Get checked!: Your symptom is concerning and deserves to be addressed by your doctor. The digestive tract is long and complex, but the early portions will likely reveal the problem. There may be other organs such as the lymph tissues or thyroid that physically impinge on the digestive tract or there may be nerve controls involved. You are young and your nutritional status may be suffering!
