Hyperglycemia: Steroids will always result in a transient spike on blood sugars. You dont mention whether or not you have diabetes mellitus. Regarding your elevated blood sugars, contact your pcp or diabetologist regading the use of a sliding scale of Insulin dosing during this short time of blood sugar elevation.
