Tums (calcium carbonate): Have you tried changing your diet? Has this ever been evaluated by your doctor (to rule out a different problem)? Calcium tablets, such as tums, (calcium carbonate) can provide quick relief to stomach acid. If you have acid reflux disease, a longer acting medicine, such as Famotidine may be of benefit. Make sure this is the only problem you have by checking in with your health care provider.
