Discharge unrelated: The vaginal discharge and the menses may very well be unrelated. Menstrual flow might have confused the picture for the vaginal discharge, temporarily , but once abated, the discharge "returned" although probably it never left. The discharge may not be any grave matter. Monitor, and if persistent, consult your doctor. Some may have an infectious cause worthy of treatment.
