What do you do to get rid of itchy eyes?

Drops, cool compress: If the cause is allergies, then i would try an over the counter allergy drop (generic is ketotifen) first, along with artificial tears and/or cold compresses. Oral antihistamines like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or zyrtec can also help, but may dry your eyes. If problems persist, seek care as there are other causes besides allergy.

Depends on the cause: There are many types and causes the eyes to itch. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, detergents, chemicals, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause itchy eyes. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
