How do people live if they have friedreich's ataxia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Making adjustments: Although progressive, this condition is usually only slowly progressive. This allows sufferers to learn tricks to adapt themselves, alter their environments, educate their friends & families about what to expect & how to assist them. Balance and lower extremity weakness are the main issues which can be compensated.
