A member asked:

What are the treatments for dilated cardiomyopathy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: In general, the treatments for dilated cardiomyopathy are supportive and may include a combination of medications such as beta blockers, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin ii receptor blockers, aldosterone antagonists, and diuretics. Mechanical devices may include biventricular pacemakers and ventricular assist devices. Heart transplant may be an option if other treatments fail.
