Friction: Friction that occurs with intercourse can cause increased sensitivity to the opening of the vagina. This may be related to poor production of lubrication. If over the counter lubricants do not help, you should follow up with your doctor for further evaluation.

Friction: If you don't have enough lubrication for comfortable intercourse you may feel sore afterwards. There is also a possibility you could have an infection (herpes) or other reason for being sore. See your doctor to get it checked out if it doesn't resolve promptly.
