Maybe not needed.: Sounds like you need a good wound care clinic and nurse. Complicated wounds as you describe need comprehensive eval and treatment - debridement, compression, moist dressing, protection of peri wound area, and treatment of underlying cause (edema, vascular disease, diabetes) . Often times topical steroids to the remainder of the leg are important.

See below: If it is mssa you can use IV nafcillin or cefazolin. If it's MRSA you can use IV vancomycin, daptomycin or IV or oral linezolid. At the same time try decolonization with Bactroban Nasal ointment twice a day for 5-10days and daily hibiclens showers and shampoos. Good luck.
