Depends on sex: Did you have sex after your last period? If you did not, there nothing to be done. If you did, you may repeat the hpt or see your doctor for a blood test and ultrasound examination.

Irregular periods: There are lots of reasons a persons period can be late. If there is a chance you could be pregnant then you should repeat a home pregnancy test. If it is negative then waiting a few weeks to see if it returns is reasonable. If it does not then it is time to visit your friendly obgyn doctor to discuss irregular periods.
