See the Pediatrician: Its important to see the pediatrician to have the baby evaluated/ properly treated. The position of the tears put the baby for increase risk of infections. The vaseline may soothe the area but if infection occurs, antibiotic may be required. Proper hygiene is of utmost importance, clean area/ change diapers frequently. See the pediatrician as soon as possible. Congratulations to your family.

Red flag: Please take your child in to doc. What you describe is some form of child abuse and it is a huge burden on you to protect your child. Vaseline is a very bad idea for these wounds. Don't panic, just calmly take her in to nearest facility or hospital. Maybe go alone, just you and the baby. No friend this time.
