Get it drained!: Typically a boil if large enough, will not get any better with any antibiotic- the antibiotic cannot infiltrate into the purulent fluid to kill bacteria. The only way this situation will get better is to have the boil incised and drained. This may have to be done at the clinic, hospital or in the field.
