Corticosteroid shot: Corticosteroid injections are often beneficial in relieving the painful clicking or locking of trigger fingers/thumbs. Consult your hand surgeon. Occasionally, surgical intervention is needed in those cases where corticosteroid injections are not particularly helpful.
