I have trigger finger, what's best to do?

How often: It depends on how frequently you experience symptoms. If its occasional, you might benefit from a corticosteroid injection. If its persistent, a surgical release can be performed to correct it.

Corticosteroid shot: Corticosteroid injections are often beneficial in relieving the painful clicking or locking of trigger fingers/thumbs. Consult your hand surgeon. Occasionally, surgical intervention is needed in those cases where corticosteroid injections are not particularly helpful.
