Kyphoplasty: A compression fracture that does not improve after 3 months or more with conservative measures may respond to this procedure. A neurosurgeon inserts a balloon like device into the collapsed vertebrae and blows it up. Into this new space a cement like substance is put into the newly expanded vertebrae. This is done under general anesthesia ANS maybe very succesful for pain management.

Kyphoplasty: Kyphoplasty is an excellent treatment for patients with osteoporotic compression fractures that are failing conservative care or are in debilitating pain. It relieves the pain by stabilizing the fracture. Check out kyphon.Com.
