Possible fungus: Peeling skin is very often caused by a fungal infection. Another name for this is athletes foot. It may be itchy but doesn't have to be. It is often treatable with a topical gel or cream that can be purchased over the counter. If this does not clear it up within two weeks you may need a prescription strength medication or it may be something other than a simple fungal infection.
