A member asked:

Got a compressed fracture is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Only if traumatic: Most compression fractures of the vertebrae are due to osteoporosis(thin bones) in older adults . In a 30 yo, unless you had significant trauma, you should see a doctor to investigate other causes of a vertebral fracture in a young person. Fracture maybe related to abnormal bone, not necessarily osteoporosis secondary to metabolic abnormalities causing abnormal bone(thyroid, hi calcium, renal).
