What you are describing sounds like muscle spasm to me. The discomfort in your ear headaches and discomfort in your neck can be due to spasm and inflammation of muscle tissue. Do you clench or grind your teeth? Do you chew gum? Do you have problems with your teeth? Try a soft diet, anti-inflammatory medication, ice to wherever your head, jaw and neck hurts and a consultation with your dentist.
