Don't pick!: I am amazed at how many people pick at their pimples and scabs, so decrease trauma to the skin..Don't pick! also, some forms of acne are really inflammatory and can cause necrosis and atrophy of the skin and soft tissue, leading to major scarring. If you are prone to this type of acne, see your derm and consider meds like anitbioitics and retinoids and possibly even accutane.
