A member asked:

What neurologic dysfunction is related to the fracture and partial laceration of the cord at c7 level?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"quadraparesis": A complete injury would be unable to use legs, but able to use shoulders, bend but not straighten elbows and have no or very limited hand movement. They would have trouble with sitting balance and likely be incontinent. Sensation is lost below that a partial laceration could leave anything between this and full function even different losses on each side.
