A member asked:

I had a postpartum hemorrhage after birth month ago and till now im facing severe intestinal pain constipatio and gaz all the time.what should i take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blame iron..maybe?!: Following a hemorrhage, there is a good chance, your doctor started you on iron supplementation. Yes? If so, the iron will help speed up your bodies natural process of replacing the blood lost after delivery. Unfortunately, iron can be very harsh on your GI system (cramping, constipation, etc). Adding a stool softener/fiber may help. Narcotic pain medication may cause similar symptoms.
