Hormones: The hormones cycling prior to menses were preparing for a pregnancy that didn't happen. They increase fluid retention to varying degrees individuals. Some women bloat more than others. Should pass by the third day of flow.

Hormonal changes: Hormones wax and wane during your cycle, and some women are more sensitive to the changes than others. In your case, you appear to be sensitive to hormonal changes, and that change causes you to feel bloated. best wishes.
