Depends on state law: Most states allow abortion up to fetal viability, which depending on state law is 24-26 weeks. Finding an abortion provider is easier when you are in the first trimester, however. Abortion prior to 14 weeks is a fairly simple procedure. Between 14 and 24 weeks it becomes more complex and requires special skills and training to perform safely.
