No: All fractures heal and any pain that persists usually goes away over time. For persistent pain, there are options that once the coccyx fracture has healed which can be demonstrated best on MRI in terms of diagnosing the fracture and documenting healing, manipulation bimanual by a physical therapist can be done via rectal/vaginal approach.
