Encephalopathy: We are seeing an increase in seizures in the older patients. There is accumulation of injury due to trauma, bad health habits, chronic hypertension, side effects of drugs and alcohol, etc. Mri is necessary to rule out tumor, but more diffuse disease appears to be present. This accumulation of injury is called encephalopathy. Careful management of all health factors is very important.

MRI?: You have not supplied enough data. It may be that your doctor has good reason to rule out a brain tumor, or it may be that more information should be obtained, likely from an MRI scan. Have a detailed conversation about this with your doctor.
