Not really.: Tretinon will not effect pigment cells. To reduce freckles one needs a bleaching agent or a light base treatment.

Freckles: Tretinoin will help fade freckles over time but if you go out in the sun again the freckles will return. Hydroquinone is also very effective at reducing dark spots.
