A member asked:

How to know if one has a chemical burn or allergic reaction on their face after using a benzoyl peroxide acne treatment/face wash, and how to know what degree of possible burn it is and the appropriate measures to take to heal it.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Benzoyl Peroxide: Stop using benzoyl peroxide and call your doctor at once if you have severe stinging or burning of your skin. Less serious side effects may include: mild stinging or burning; itching or tingly feeling; skin dryness, peeling, or flaking; or redness or other irritation.
