Coincident: It could be just a coincident that you have pain in both places , they are independent of each other.Multiple reazons for having both pain and they should be investigated accordingly.

THey may be related.: Many times pain from the back can be caused by muscle soreness or nerve trauma or both. These symptoms can give rise to headache at the back of the skull that may radiate over the entire head. Sometimes simple treatments, as hot and cold compresses, stretching and antiinflammatorie can help the pain. Avoid stress to your back and neck area. If pain persists or worsens consult a physician.
