A member asked:

I take warfarin and have been diagnosed with high cholesterol, what can eat to lower cholesterol and will not interact with warfarin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eat good foods: The ideal diet to lower cholesterol is a vegetarian diet. You don't have to be a vegetarian but your diet should be heavy on fruits and vegetables, light on meat. Fish is good. Carbs are okay. Your warfarin dose will be adjusted to your diet, not the other way round. The key to warfarin is to try to eat relatively consistently and to be aware which foods have a lot of vit k. (google this).
