Probably nothing bad: While irregular periods can be caused by many things, such as miscarrying or sexually transmitted infections (neither of which would happen without sex), it often happens for unknown reasons and then corrects itself. Obesity, if present, could also affect your estrogen balance and cause irregular or absent periods.
