Does polymyalgia rheumatica effect the diaphragm and rib area?

Possibly: Polymyalgia rheumatica most commonly affects the shoulder and neck area. After that it affects the hip girdle area. Many people describe pain throughout the whole body. It is not typical to have pain only in the chest area but that doesn't mean it's not possible.
