A few viruses: Rhinoviruses tend to be among the most common, particularly in "nose colds" and what people often mistake for sinus infections. Adenoviruses can cause sore throats and "viral pharyngitis" or what i call throat colds. Parainfluenza viruses (not to be mistaken for the flu) can cause chest colds, viral bronchitis, and croup. Rsv can also cause cold symptoms.
