Why is my period a bright reddish orange in color?

Hard to be sure...: Hard to be sure what the orange color is, but some people think that when bright, red blood mixes with cervical fluid it can appear like an orange color with red flecks. If there is bad odor, discomfort, or other symptoms that suggest infection, a primary care doctor or an ob-gyn doctor should evaluate.

Color varies: The color of menstrual blood varies and is not usually something we pay a lot of attention to. If your period is coming at the usual time this this is likely your period. If you are also having discharge or signs of infection then see your doctor for testing.
