Doxycycline: Hair loss is not a side effect of doxycycline.

Not known to: There have been no reports of doxycycline causing hair loss. Just because it hasn’t been observed doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t causing it in your case. One thing to consider is how recently after you started taking it the hair loss started and whether hair growth restarts after stopping therapy (do not stop therapy if taking doxy for an infection until the end of the course).
