Possible...: But unlikely. She may have an allergy to the standard tetanus antitoxin, but many types of treatment are available. While anaphylactic reaction to tetanus toxoid has been reported, none of the cases resulted in a fatality (pan american health organization 1972 study).

Technically, : I think you can die from really anything. Was she implying the pain from it? An allergic reaction? It is standard to get a tetanus shot from this type of injury and typically, people do not die from tetanus shots. If it was from pain, let her put ice at the needle site injection.
